Beer Battered Coral Tooth Mushrooms!

Ingredients:


1.5 LBS. Coral Tooth Mushrooms

2 TBSP Squatch Seasoning

2.5 Cups All Purpose Flour (We Use Bob’s Red Mill)

1 TBSP Granulated Garlic Powder

1 TBSP Granulated Onion Powder

1.5 tsp Baking Powder

1 - 20 oz Can Beer (We Use Busch Beer because it has the Authentic Umami for the Batter)

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste


High Temp Oil for the Deep Fry


Instructions:


Mushroom Prep.


  1. Separate and Wash and Dry Coral Tooth Mushrooms

  2. Place in a bowl and sprinkle Squatch Seasoning over mushroom coating evenly

  3. In the same bowl evenly Coat Mushrooms with Approx. .5 cups All Purpose Flour then lay in a single layer on a baking sheet.


Batter


  1. Place Two Cups All Purpose Flour, 1 TBSP Granulated Garlic Powder, 1 TBSP Granulated Onion Powder, 1.5 tsp. Baking Powder, Salt and Pepper to taste in a large Bowl and mix thoroughly.

  2. Add Beer until and mix your batter until it is the consistency of a thin milkshake.

  3. Batter mushrooms well and add to hot oil.

  4. Turn mushrooms frequently to assure an even golden brown.

  5. Remove from hot oil and set out on a paper towel.

  6. Eat’em up YUM!
